Spyware infection

Spyware infection: easily contracted and it can ruin your PC. It disables programs like your antivirus, system restore, and mrt. It can also disable browsers like firefox and chrome. So how do you get rid of it? Call up Best Buy and they'll tell you to bring it in and they'll fix it. Why pay when this can be removed for free? Luckily, Internet Explorer works. I recently killed this infection with a free program known as "Spybot-Search & Destroy". It's an excellent tool and it works great. When you are running the program go to the left column and click "Search & Destroy" and click "Check for problems". This can take a while, but when it is finished you just need to click the completion button. I believe it is "fix selected problems". It removes the problems, run it again to make sure they are all gone. For extra security I ran my antivirus and mrt again and they both showed that the computer was healthy. Restart the computer and it should work the same way it did before the infection. You know you can trust my advice because I went through it. So visit >http://www.safer-networking.org/en/ownmirrors1/index.html to download the software.

System Restore

This seems to be a growing problem for many people; they know nothing about system restore. If you are using a windows pc, laptop, or netbook, open the start menu and search "System Restore". Open the program and create a restore point (only if your computer is free of viruses and you have no problems). You should do this periodically in case something goes wrong on your computer. System restore is a universal solution to many problems and is much easier than making a disc. System restore can solve problems that occur from things like bad downloads or a change in the computer's display that can cause a functioning error. Yahoo! Answers

If you were referred here as a source on yahoo answers, that was in fact me. I am on there and I float around the computer section answering your tech problems. If you were referred here follow my twitter (The T3ch F0x) to get updates on the blog. While on twitter you can also message me your questions and I will post the solution.

Free Movies!!!

On a more fun note, there is a site where you can watch any movie you want for free. zmovie.tv not only has dvd or vhs movies but it also has new releases still in theatre. Opposed to the possible issue of low video quality, the movies are full and the sound is great. When you choose a movie that page displays links that have a success percentage with vidreel topping. Vidreel doesn't buffer so you will not have to worry about that. The good thing about this site is you won't take up disc space downloading movies that might have poor quality all together. Check out the site if you like movies or even just like to save money.

Google Chrome vs. Internet Explorer

As boring as it may seem, it is very important to use a good browser. If you use a Windows PC you are usually started out with Internet explorer, that doesn't mean you cant use another browser. Currently I use both browsers (because I have Internet explorer pinned to my task bar) but one browser is better. Here are the basic pros and cons:
Size: First thing is size. Size is important if you are using a device with a small screen (like a netbook). Now if you ever wanted to get the largest view out of any browser you would press F11 and by doing this both browsers become the same. However, without pressing F11 Google Chrome offers the most visible space.
Simplicity: This topic is important because you want to be able to use the internet without struggle. Since not everyone out there is a tech wiz, there needs to be a browser that has everything layed out in front of you. Chrome is not that browser. I know people who are barely tech literate and I know this browser would give them trouble.Chrome does not have a search bar (even though searching is possible) and there are no labled directories. With I.E every thing is labeled and right there.
Problems: (The amount of problems vary among users) This topic is more opinionated but I had less problems with Chrome than I.E. The prblems I experienced with I.E: Not responding, redirecting, failed to connect, and long wait times. The only problem I had with Chrome was outdated software, and that is my fault!
Privacy: Whenever you don't want your searches or website history saved you normally just delete it. However, both browsers have a privacy feature. Both features do not save visits or cookies but I.E goes the extra mile. No matter what, I.E does not save any information period, while Chrome only does the minimum. For example: If you were to go to facebook.com both features start you logged out. You log in and you leave the page. Here is the difference: With Chrome if you go back to facebook you are logged in, with I.E you are not logged in. Though simpler, I feel I have more privacy not being already signed in.
Chrome: Chrome has two extra features that I.E does not. Chrome performs spell check on what you write and has an app store similar to apple's that features a new version of Angry Birds.
So now the choice is yours: Google Chrome or Internet Explorer?
If you would like to use the private browsing feature on Chrome go to the right hand side of the browser and click on the wrench. Then click on "New incognito window".
For I.E go to the right hand side of the browser and click safety. Then click "In private browsing". Feel free to leave a comment.
